Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling services to students, addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, stress management, and social skills.
Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans tailored to the specific needs of each student, promoting emotional health and academic success.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to integrate mental health support throughout the school environment.
Conduct assessments, evaluations, and consultations to identify students' needs and monitor progress.
Engage in continuous professional development to ensure the delivery of high-quality, culturally competent, and ethical counseling services.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Valid LPC license in the District of Columbia.
Strong commitment to fostering a positive, empathetic, and confidential counseling environment.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, and school staff.
