Job Summary:
The Speech-Language Pathologist at The Allicock Group is responsible for diagnosing and treating communication and swallowing disorders. This role involves assessing clients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities, developing customized therapy plans, and collaborating with other professionals to enhance clients' communication skills.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Develop individualized therapy plans targeting clients' specific needs and goals.
Provide speech and language therapy services, including articulation therapy, language intervention, and fluency therapy.
Use evidence-based techniques and interventions to improve clients' communication and swallowing abilities.
Collaborate with educators, occupational therapists, and other professionals to create integrated treatment plans.
Regularly assess clients' progress and adjust therapy strategies as necessary.
Educate clients, families, and caregivers on techniques to support communication development.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
Knowledge of a variety of speech and language disorders.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Empathetic and patient-focused approach.
Commitment to staying current with best practices in speech-language pathology.
